What’s On the Pile – Monster in the Closet
It’s the month of Halloween, and you know what that means: horror movies all month! Because we sure never watch those. We’re starting off with a PG rated satire of 50s B movies called “Monster in the Closet,” a movie that absolutely terrified me as a child, and I have no idea why. Released by Troma (although not made by them), Monster in the Closet tells the story of a monster that has been dragging people into the closet and eating them, including John Carradine as a blind guy doing an impression of Lloyd Kaufman imitating a blind guy. The folks at the newspaper think Richard, the nerdy reporter, sucks shit, so they send him on a wild goose chase to report on this supposed monster, which nobody believes in.
